Start 2018 on the right foot! Commit to yourself this year; calm the mind and body with this New Year's Day Restorative Yoga Workshop. Restorative Yoga poses require no muscular exertion; each pose is held for several minutes and is deeply supported by bolsters, blankets and blocks. Complete muscular relaxation and comfort are emphasized to achieve a quiet state of mind and body. Deep restorative work improves range of motion and joint mobility, while reducing pain and the physical effects of stress on our bodies. Students will leave feeling nourished, rested and refreshed. Guided Mindfulness Meditation is also incorporated throughout the workshop. No yoga or meditation experience is needed and all levels are welcome. Feel free to bring your own mats and eye pillows, but all props and equipment are available in the studio.
